Chasing Dollars?????

Today has been a life changing day! I received a word from my boss that I very well needed. I'm not where I want to be but God has me here for a reason.

Everyone wants to be financially successful, live in an nice house and drive a nice car. But who are YOU? Material things shouldn't make you who you are at your core. As I sat at my desk looking for  a job that paid me more money, God spoke to me, and I stopped looking. "Child, why are chasing a dollar when you have not use the talents I have given you?" This sent chills up my spine.

Why are we looking for a job that pays more? We want to be financially successful and stable. I know as a single mom I want to be comfortable. I don't want to have to solely depend on child support, because that may stop coming for whatever reason. But have I fully used the talents and capabilities that God has given me? The answer is NO, but today I started my journey to change that.

Today I decide to become a business owner.

Today I place my faith is God and reject the negativity "man" may try to speak on my life.

So I say to you, use what GOD has given you before you find yourself chasing dollars. Chasing dollars becomes tiresome because it's never enough.

"Don't chase the dollar...Chase your passion and there the dollars will find YOU."

The Choice

"I'm a single mother by choice not circumstance." Think about it. #thereistruthinit

I salute single mothers taking on the responsibility of "choosing" to be mom and dad. Yes, you heard correctly. The great thing in this life is we have choice. So, I chose to have sexual intercourse with someone I "thought" I knew. When will we come to realize that we are worth more than what we have to offer between our legs to keep a "boy?"

"But, I loved him and he turned on me"

No, he didn't turn on you. You loved his penis so much you didn't recognize those warning signs/flags that God was trying to reveal to you. When you are out of sync with God you can no longer interpret things clearly.

Why risk it all for a  temporary pleasure?

MEN OR LACK THERE OF.....

Life brings about many changes that "we" sometimes have no control over.

I hear so many times that there are not enough decent "black men." One, why are you as a woman searching for anything? Two, if you are found will you be ready?

Are there not enough decent "black men" around because you haven't placed any demands? or because you ignored the yellow flags until a red one slapped you in the face?

hmmmmmm...something to ponder the next time you have your male bashing session.

Until next time.....

Circumstances.......

We assume that life will go as "we" plan it, but we fail to realize it has already been written. In this day in time we go through obstacles and unforeseen circumstances that can bring us to our knees wondering "Why God?" But who are we to question the almighty? So what, you lost your job, house, and wife/husband. Does that mean your life altogether stops? NO! There is more to life that worrying about when the next bill will be paid. Circumstances may happen but it's how we cope and respond that make us who we are. You are complaining about your problem when compared to another it may be minuet. We are SELFISH!

What have you done to help another person out? And no I'm not talking about financially, because while you may help them our financially you are not instilling anything within the person; you are simply solving a temporary solution to a long term problem. We are here to share our gifts, abilities and talents that God has given us. But we dwell too much on what's going wrong in our life. Stop and thank God for allowing you to  see another day. Thank him for giving you a sound mind and clarity.

What's right is I'm still standing no matter what has come or will come my way.  I will overcome!

I will overcome people willing evil in my life.

I will overcome those who want to see me fail.

I will overcome this man made thing called debt.

I will overcome the stigma behind being a single mom. Because in reality I'm doing the same thing a married mom is doing plus more.

I will overcome allowing negative energy and people in my life.

I will overcome people who are only in my life for a season even though I may think they are here for a lifetime.

I will overcome the world telling me "you're crazy for practicing celibacy."

I will overcome being ashamed, embarrassed, or ridiculed because of my past.

I will overcome man, because my GOD is a giant compared to measly man.

What will you overcome? What will you do differently to live your life to fulfill your calling?
